My first Christmas was most definitely a HIT! I am pretty convinced that the big guy with the white beard and red outfit is my new best friend. Holy smokes...I hit the jackpot and I only had to be good for 6 months instead of a WHOLE year like the rest of my buddies. No complaining here!
We spent our Christmas vacation in Waco this year. Christmas Eve-Eve was Christmas with Mimi, Poppy and my Aunt Tara. I got all kinds of goodies, but one of my absolute favorites, was a really cool rocking horse! It even makes sounds like a horse when you pat it's ear. I was extremely impressed with that horse. He made me smile and giggle so much it hurt! Along with my horse, I got all kinds of toys, books and clothes GALORE! This girl won't need any more clothes for a looonngg time!!! Let's just see if we can keep my mom from buying more...haha! She seems to have a little bit of an obsession with little girl clothes!
On Christmas Eve, we headed over to my great-grandma, Memaw's house. This was the first time in many, many, many years that the entire family was there. All of my cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles! It was super special to be able to see them all for my first Christmas. Once again, I got all kinds of goodies. More toys and more clothes! By this point I was starting to understand that Christmas meant more fun than you could ever imagine! I loved ripping open those presents...with a little help from Mommy and Daddy, of course. Sometimes, I had more fun with the box itself than what was inside it!
Mommy, Daddy and I left Memaw's house for a bit to brave the SNOW and go to the Christmas Eve service at church. This was my first time to see the church where my parents got married. It was a very special moment for us all and they sure did have fun showing me off to all of their old church friends.
On Christmas Day, I woke up to the biggest surprise of all....GIFTS FROM SANTA UNDER THE TREE!!! I have never seen so many toys and books in my life. Holy smokes, I hit the motherload! This little girl was one happy camper.
That afternoon, we headed out to my other great-grandma, Nonnie's house for my last and final Christmas celebration! I had so much fun helping my Nonnie cook lunch. I even got to try some of her famous mashed potatoes and boy-oh-boy were they good! And surprise, surprise....there were even MORE gifts waiting for me under the tree. I'm telling you, I must have been really good these past 6 months because those gifts just kept on coming!
I hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as I did! I am such a lucky girl and I am so blessed to be loved by so many people. Thank you to everyone for making my very first Christmas so special! Now, I have to concentrate on being a good girl this year so Santa will hook me up again for Christmas 2010!!!
